Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on a rather interesting fragrance, Black Tea and Lemon.

I can’t believe it. My trusty memory has failed me. I originally reviewed this candle back in April, but completely forgot to add the review to the website. I am so embarrassed and ashamed of myself. Nonetheless, we’re here now, so let’s get this show on the road as I recover from this deep feeling of guilt.

You read ‘black tea’ on a candle label, and I don’t know about you guys, but I’m like “how?” How on Earth do you capture the smell of tea? Well, Yankee Candle did just that, and they added a little splash of lemon to it as well. This is one of those ‘mad scientist’ candles that had me wondering just how the fuck these people come up with these scents. But, something about it works. There is a warming quality to this candle – on the front end, the surprisingly accurate tea scent hits you smack dab in the face. On the back end, you get a nice little lemon finish. You guys know by now that I like to put my Yankee Candles in a seasonal box, but this one just simply doesn’t fit in one box. You could do it in the depths of winter, when a warm cup of tea soothes the soul. You could do it in the summer time, when the hint of lemon gives off fresh vibes. It’s truly season-less, and that’s a bonus in my book. I salute Yankee Candle for coming up with this one.

Recommended Burning: It was a nice day for a stroll when you and your partner left the house, but a summer deluge came in and ruined your plans. You were both soaked in the downpour, but you laugh it off with a gentle kiss. Once you make it back home, your partner puts on some tea. You both get out of your soggy, wet clothes, and for a split second your eyes meet as you’re standing in the bedroom nude. The heat of the moment takes over and you make passionate love. The teapot whistles as you climax simultaneously.
