Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…

Question:

Answer:

To be a smartass, I actually played Mariah Carey first thing in the morning on 11/1. My wife and I put up our decorations in our house this past weekend, but that was more because of how busy we stay and knowing that if we didn’t do it now, we’d blink and December would be here and it’d be pointless to decorate then. I hate feeling like that….so busy that we have to be super early on everything just to make sure we have ample time to enjoy it. But, that’s not answering your question, Grizzler.

My point is that I’m an early bird on almost everything except for the Christmas music. I’m with you (kind of). Usually the week of Thanksgiving is the first time I’ll fire it up. It’s not always on Black Friday. It may be the Tuesday or Wednesday before, but that’s about the time for me. And, I’m always in a bittersweet mood once Christmas passes, so I’m quick to move on from the music. Listening to Christmas music after the holiday passes just makes me sit and think about how inevitably quick time passes and how we’ve already made it through another holiday. Before you know it, next Christmas will be here…so on and so forth. So I’m Thanksgiving-Christmas on this one.

Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
