Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, we’re heading deep into the darkness of the night with a little bit of Crisp Fall Night.

I feel like I’ve done this once before, and I really should be better about it. But, I completely forgot to write up my review for October’s Yankee Candle Review. That’s a shame because it’s a doozy. My wife and I discovered Crisp Fall Night several years ago, and it’s quickly become one of our favorite fall candles. So, I always cape for Yankee Candle, but even if it’s out of season at this point, I still wanted to cape even harder for this scent.

Why? Because it never gets old. Crisp Fall Night encapsulates the spirit of the season so well but so differently – there’s no pumpkin, no apple, and maybe there is a little bit of some cinnamon to it, it’s not overbearing. I can’t quite explain what makes it so Autumnal, but it works, and it’s a nice break from the pumpkin/apple routine. There’s a quality about this candle that just feels right for this time of the year. It’s Earthy like a damp forest on a cool fall evening. There’s plenty of that dead-leaves-and-the-dirty-ground going for it with a hint of musk that has me calling it “the fall version of Midsummer’s Night.” It’s as if Midsummer’s Night and Autumn Leaves had a baby. Lavender, woods, musk, and just the right amount of spice to hang in the air like it’s Halloween in Sleepy Hollow. I absolutely love it.

Recommended Burning: You just got back from an evening of playing disc golf with the boys. You threw your best driver into the woods on hole 17 when you guys were already trying to rush to get done before the sun set. Then, you spent about an hour in the cool dark air searching for your driver. To thaw out, you put some vegetable soup on the stove and fire up a pot of tea. Then, you light this candle and warm up. Editor’s note: this has totally never ever ever actually happened to me in real life at all. Never.
