Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…

Question:

Answer:

This might surprise some folks, Grizzler, but I actually don’t care about winning a Super Bowl all that much. I would love it, but I conceded that I was going to be a fan of this team, win or lose, a long time ago. I’m just here for the camaraderie and the community that we’ve all built around this team online. If the team wins a Super Bowl, great. If not, oh well – maybe next year. Therefore, I ain’t cuttin’ shit off my body in exchange for a Titans Super Bowl.

Question:

Answer:

Buddy, we spent like four hours watching Georgia State tape to watch Travis Glover take on LSU. AFTER THAT, we recorded two more podcasts, then went to the bar to sit and talk about football for another couple of hours. You tell me! Actually, I don’t need you to tell me. My wife tells me I have a problem all the time. Maybe we are too obsessed, but that’s what I think makes us great at this. The last thing I think about at night as my head hits the pillow is usually which offensive lineman I want to watch next.

Question:

Answer:

The way I feel about 2024 right now as we sit here in February, I think there’s a wealth of contenders in the SEC, and Ohio State and Oregon are the only real threats to keep the SEC from winning it all. It’s just a numbers game for me – Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Mizzou are all going to be legit contenders. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Tennessee and Oklahoma rise up and enter the conversation either. Odds are that the champ is going to come out of this conference in my opinion.

Here’s how I would have the SEC right now:

  1. Georgia
  2. Texas
  3. Alabama
  4. Ole Miss
  5. Mizzou
  6. Tennessee
  7. Oklahoma
  8. LSU
  9. Florida
  10. Kentucky
  11. Auburn
  12. South Carolina
  13. Texas A&M
  14. Arkansas
  15. Vanderbilt
  16. Mississippi State
