You might be surprised to read a guy like me write this, but I’m really not that big of a fan of writing in hyperbole. I hate sitting here in June and saying ‘we’ve got the meme of the year over here.’ I much prefer we wait and see how the crop of viral clips sorts itself out as the year concludes. But, damn it…at the same time, I just can’t help myself. This clip of this grandpa getting lemon squirted in his mouth while he was sleeping may be the funniest video I’ve seen in ages.

Every time I see this video come across my Twitter or Instagram feed, I stop what I’m doing and watch it at least a dozen times. I’ve probably watched it over a hundred times at this point. For one, I’m so fascinated by the human face’s response to having straight up lemon squirted in your mouth in your sleep. I’m a lemon guy, but damn…not even I can take it straight up like that. The struggle that spreads across his face as he wriggles and squirms is funny enough, but it’s the moment he opens his eyes that makes this a gut-busting clip that goes from funny to breathtakingly hilarious. I can’t stop laughing. I’m even laughing as I type this.
Why? Because that is exactly how I imagine Dracula woke up before slaughtering an innocent villager and consuming their blood for sustenance. You see those eyes, and it’s “uh oh,” buddy. You’re cooked. You’re a dead man. Honestly, it kind of makes me wonder what my reaction would be if I were in this man’s shoes. I don’t really want to try it…I’m just saying it makes me wonder. Regardless, this is one viral clip that I think we definitely need a Part 2 of…that is, if the person filming this even survived…
