Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, we’re looking at the gem of Yankee’s new ‘Cottage Getaway’ collection, Campfire Cocktail.

It’s been a minute since Yankee Candle had one of those truly otherworldly fall lines, but the new Cottage Getaway collection instantly became one of my favorites. I was a big fan of Woodland Road Trip in 2021, but the lines since have left a little to be desired. Yankee stepped up their game in a big way this year, though. While every fragrance in the line is worth burning this time of year, I thought Campfire Cocktail was the cream of the crop. Why? Well, I’m glad you asked.

Campfire Cocktail leans into a couple of things that Yankee Candle does extremely well, and dare I say, they may be underrated for. One, it’s the apple scents – Yankee is the king of apple scents…from Ciderhouse to Crisp Campfire Apples, they all hit. Two, they have a really good smoke fragrance too (Smoked Vanilla & Cashmere, anyone?). So, when you put those two things together and add a hint of rum to it, you know it’s going to be a banger. Campfire Cocktail has all the makings of an early fall classic, perfect to burn at the start of football season before we get into our pumpkin craze.

Recommended Burning: Your friends are beginning to arrive for the bonfire on Friday night. You’ve made the rum punch, gathered the firewood, and finished dinner. You’re looking for one last touch to make the evening perfect, so you strike up Campfire Cocktail in the living room as you lay the tarps down for the orgy later.
