Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…

Question:

Answer:

I’ll say this – I hoped it was “Robert Eggers does Nosferatu,” and it was exactly “Robert Eggers does Nosferatu.” Nothing more, nothing less. It absolutely ruled – my favorite film of the year so far. Also, you can catch my full 1200-word review of Nosferatu on Nashville Movie Dispatch.

Question:

Answer:

Sam Darnold, Brian Callahan, and Ran Carthon.

Question:

Answer:

I absolutely cannot help you focus on a test, Eddie. I hate tests. I stand opposed to tests. Real learning is in the nuance of discussion and experience. Sorry – I didn’t mean to go full boomer on that. You just gotta put the draft content away. Bookmark it and save it for later my man.

Question:

Answer:

I honestly have no idea how it will go and that’s exactly why I love it so much. With the advent of NIL, the transfer portal, and all that, we’ve been talking for years about how it’s eventually going to turn college football into the NFL…welp, here we go! I don’t think you could get more “NFL coach” than Belichick. I’m eager to see how his demeanor translates to the college kid as opposed to the seasoned pro. But, there’s also the story aspect of it that is awesome to me, too. It really feels like at least a part of the reason he’s doing this is to help groom Stephen Belichick into becoming a head coach sooner rather than later. I’m a fan of Belichick. I think he’s a fascinating case study on leadership and process. I also love his podcast. So, I’m rooting for the guy – I’m interested to see what the ramifications of running a college program like an NFL franchise are, and I’m happy to see a guy I’m a fan of get this run with his son.

Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
