For all of the love we get for our Spooky Season episodes, Rooster and I have established a nice little tradition with the January Phone It In episodes too. Cold weather breeds cold weather stories – what can I say? We’ve talked about yetis and wendigos, and this year, Rooster dug up a fun historical account of what is considered to be the last major expedition of the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration. Sir Ernest Shackleton drew this bitch up, and we break down the rest on the latest episode of Phone It In. I’m not sure why anyone want to hop in a boat and head to Antarctica. It sounds far too cold for me, and I’m convinced I wouldn’t last three days on this expedition. Nonetheless, it’s fun to relive this tale and impressive to think of the challenges this crew faced just to survive.
