Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…

Question:

Answer:

I apologize, Jacob, but I simply cannot do ‘great detail’ in a mailbag or else the whole column will run extremely long. I will say that off the top of my head, I agree with your premise. Daredevil probably is my favorite superhero show to grace the small screen, though I was a big fan of WandaVision, the first season of Loki, The Punisher, and yes, I was a major Luke Cage apologist. Something about Daredevil just felt so well-fleshed-out (that sounds sexual) – good characters, good portrayals, a captivating plot. It really checked all of the boxes. I’ve already seen the first two episodes of Born Again, and honestly, I’m feeling a little lukewarm on it. I’m eager to see where we go, but it already feels a little MCU-ified to me.

Question:

Answer:

How do you come up with the most difficult questions sometimes, Eddie? I would absolutely love to walk away from this draft with either Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter. But, at the end of the day, they could still get a pretty solid player at 7, and if I’m building for the future, I’m thinking about acquiring draft capital. That extra first will come in handy. I’m taking the Jets deal.

Question, from Kablarnage on Bluesky:

If the top 4 prospects were fast-food chain restaurants which ones would they be and which fast-food chain is your favorite?

Answer:

Travis Hunter: McDonald’s, an institution, the clear cut thoroughbred
Abdul Carter: Taco Bell, clean tape, lot of ways to beat you, consistently hits
Shedeur Sanders: Whataburger, polarizing, divisive, has vitriolic haters, but when he’s on, he’s the best in the business, somehow still underrated
Cam Ward: Burger King, sometimes it rips, sometimes, you bite into your Whopper and realize there’s no meat on the burger.

My personal four favorite fast food spots: Panda Express, Subway, Taco Bell, Whataburger

Question:

Answer:

I think I could make it work either way – there’s some Robert Baratheon in me, but I also look like I’d make a great dwarf. Ultimately, I’m going to choose LOTR because it seems less violent and more magical. I’m tryna chill, after all.

Question:

Answer:

On-schedule and on-budget, Ed! Full steam ahead – judging from all the pictures and videos that came out this week, it seems like they’re making progress.

Question:

Answer:

  1. Depends on if I’m at home or in public. I low key hate eating wings in public because they make such a mess and I feel like I smell like them the rest of the day. I also feel guilty drinking so much if they’re spicy…like, my decision requires the staff to constantly come to my table pouring water. So, if I’m in public, I don’t want anything TOO spicy. But, if I’m cooking wings at home, where I know I can drink an entire gallon of milk if I need to, and I know I can take a shower after the meal, I’ll dial it up big time.
  2. I’m a basic bitch – give me Guinness (one of my favorite beers anyway) and some Jameson.
  3. I don’t even remember warming up in gym class – back in my day, they just handed you a dodgeball and said “go hit a bitch.”

Question:

Answer:

Gah, that defensive front with Carter and Bosa would absolutely rip, but it feels like a bit of overkill. I’ll address two needs and roll with Hunter. Then, I’ll take a David Walker or Jah Joyner on Day 3 to add some more pass rush juice.

Question:

Answer:

5. I’ve read all the proper techniques and have tried them. They don’t work for me – I do index finger in the first stitch.

6. Definitely going to run – I was a fast runner back in my day. I think I’d be afraid of pushing too hard and crashing my cycle, so that would be a limiter for me. And, I damn sure can’t swim fast. So, we’re sticking with the run.

7. Ticks freak me out because of all the diseases they carry, but man, fleas are relentless if you don’t catch and kill those fuckers.

8. Whichever one would kill me the quickest….that’s my answer.

Question:

Answer:

I’m not too sure what his market looks like yet. He’s a big name, but injury concerns may drive the price down. I can’t imagine the Titans will spend too much on him given where they’re at in their rebuild, but at the right price, I figure why not at least kick the tires on him? I wouldn’t expect ’em to be in on him, but never say never in this business.

Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
