Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, we’re trying out a fragrance from Yankee Candle’s new ‘Hello Italy’ collection, Olive & Cypress.

Hello, Italy! See what I did there? Get it? The collection is called “Hello Italy.” I crack myself up. Anyway, I almost typed ‘Taste of Italy,’ but I feel like that’s getting Yankee Candle mixed up with Olive Garden. Regardless of who made this candle, it is quite an interesting combination of fresh air and herbal musk. It’s quite different for this time of year. I wouldn’t think an olive scented candle would hit, but it pairs pretty well the tree smell of cypress. I’ve never been to Italy, but if it smells like this candle, I can only imagine it’s a majestic place.

Recommended Burning: You long for the days of your youth. You see a striking sunset and it reminds you of the summer you spent in Italy, sunbathing with your entire body slathered in olive oil. You fell in love that summer – once…twice…thrice…who’s counting? You’ve never felt that sort of freedom in your life since. In fact, you often think you’ll never feel it again your life. You wonder what you even have left that’s worth living for. That is when you should fire up the freeing open air fragrance of Olive & Cypress.
