Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…
Question, from Daniel on Twitter:
how good would travis hunter have to be to win both offensive rookie of the year AND defensive rookie of the year? feels like even 800 yard and 10 tds and 6 picks would get the league falling over themselves to do it.
Answer:
Only three corners have won Defensive Rookie of the Year in the last 25 years. That seems like the biggest hurdle to Hunter winning both. It’s just a relatively rare thing, and I’m not sure if it’s because box score stats for corners aren’t exactly eye-popping, or if good corners don’t make plays because they aren’t being thrown at, or what. In other words, he’d have to have a “only four times in 25 years” type of season, and he’d have to be markedly better than any edge rusher that would likely be in contention. Sauce Gardner had only two INTs in his DROTY season…Marshon Lattimore had five, and Marcus Peters had eight. So, six would be about the right mark. Possible, but not probable. Will he get the snaps to get there? That’s the question for me. The Offensive Rookie of the Year is a lot easier. They love awarding it to quarterbacks, but I don’t know if there will be a quarterback run away with it this year. The biggest threat may be Ashton Jeanty. But, 800 yards and 10 touchdowns would certainly be a good resumé. You’ve got me thinking and now I kind of want to see him win both. He could have a solid receiver year to get there, but he has to have a knockout cornerback year to have any shot.
Question, also from Daniel on Twitter:
another mailbag question… how does the titans draft go if they take the giants reported trade offer?
Answer:
So, according to Paul Kuharsky, the deal would’ve been 3, 34, 2026 1st, and 2026 2nd for Cam Ward. I’m gonna go…Abdul Carter and Tyler Shough with 3 and 34…I’m still going to execute the trade out of 35, but I’m going to snag Tre Harris instead of Femi Oladejo, and later on, I’m going to go Cam Jackson over Elic Ayomanor. Everything else, I’m cool with keeping the same.
Abdul Carter
Tyler Shough
Tre Harris
Kevin Winston Jr.
Chimere Dike
Gunnar Helm
Cam Jackson
Jackson Slater
Marcus Harris
Kalel Mullings
Question:
Why would you not show @jt_ruhnke Chelsea Green's picture on the draft megacast last Saturday?
— d good (@dgood2075288732) May 1, 2025
Answer:
Well, Goody, it was extremely distracting! I’m trying to look for draft picks and I just get completely blown off the block by it. I didn’t want to do that to anyone else on the show – for reference, here’s the image in question:

Question:
100 stoneys vs 1 gorilla who wins?
— eddie (@wondernomma) May 1, 2025
Which titans players current or past do you want in the 100 men fighting the gorilla?
Drink of the summer?
Answer:
The gorilla is smoking my ass. I want Kyle Vanden Bosch in the fray against the gorillas. And, we’re doing margs, mojitos, palomas, and of course, G&Ts all summer long just like every summer.
Question:
How did I ever live without Baby Billy Freeman in my life?
— Steve from Weymouth (@trtidwell) May 1, 2025
Answer:
How did any of us ever live without Baby Billy Freeman in our lives?
Question:
Is the draft season simultaneously the most stressful and most fun time of the year for you?
— Eldon English (shrike113) (@shrike4113) May 1, 2025
Answer:
Absolutely. There’s nothing like it – it’s such a wide swing from the stress of getting everything done to the euphoria of draft night. I just wish the actual event wasn’t such a blur – I can’t believe it’s been a week since the draft already.
Question:
How was finally getting to relax from the draft content for a few days?
— eddie (@wondernomma) May 1, 2025
Answer:
Well, I took Sunday off – went to three different book stores and came home with 10 new books. The wife and I tried a new restaurant, and I went to bed at a decent hour. It was phenomenal. I was back to work on Monday morning, but at least it’s been nice to not have to work at such a grueling pace as usual.
Question:
Breakdown of your Top 5 UDFAs.
— Eugene (@exterminatorx) May 1, 2025
Answer:
Eugene, I’d be lying if I told you I’ve done my homework on all of these guys, so I’ll phrase it like this…here are the five I’m most stoked to dig into:
5. Jermarri Harris, DB Iowa
4. Devonte O’Malley, DT Northern Illinois
3. Desmond Evans, DE North Carolina
2. David Gbenda, LB Texas
1. Cam Horsley, DT Boston College
Question:
Also, I think every year post-draft you should hand out two awards to the draft/UDFA class:
— Eugene (@exterminatorx) May 1, 2025
1. Nut Shorts Award – to the biggest, don't give a shit badass
2. Cootchie Excavator Award – to the prospect that's just gonna eat
Answer:
Love that idea…let’s go:
- Jackson Slater
- Chimere Dike
Question:
What’s the Titans rhyme reason or preferred process on how they target and sign undrafted free agents?
— Ed Helinski 🇺🇸🇵🇱 🌴 (@MrEd315) May 1, 2025
Answer:
We’ve heard ’em say it several times this spring – they want big, tough, and smart. They want speed, and they want leadership. They want guys that “love football.” I mean, sounds like the perfect football player, right? They seem to be placing a premium on those leadership qualities though – it’s the one thing that I’ve noticed throughout this whole process…they seem to really be focusing on guys that can help change the culture.
