Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…

Question:

Answer:

This has to stop. I love Roger McCreary. I liked him when I watched him at the Senior Bowl three years ago. I had him slotted as a fringe first round guy. When the Titans took him in 2022, it felt like a huge win for the early days of my “scouting,” if you want to call it that. However, I happened to mention that his arm length and overall size doesn’t seem to really mesh with what this new regime wants in a cornerback. Sue me! He’s also entering the final year of his deal! If this front office wants to start building towards a model that generates compensatory picks, McCreary is a good candidate to let walk and pick up one of those picks. All I’m saying is what I think the Titans are thinking! But, for whatever reason, The Hot Read Podcast faithful have taken this principle and twisted it into “Stoney hates Roger McCreary.” This couldn’t be further from the truth, and it’s caused me great distress. I’m tired of crying myself to sleep every night. Please…I beg of you all…let this go.

Question:

Answer:

Scoob, I haven’t fished in 12 years. The last time I went fishing, I ended up covered in poison ivy head to toe and in every crack of my body. Still have my rod and a stocked tackle box though. I had no idea what lures I was using. I really had no idea what I was doing in general. I eventually realized that I just liked being outside and not actually fishing and just stuck with hiking and frisbee golf.

Question:

Answer:

Yeah, absolutely – I’m stoked about the film (you guys can check out my thoughts on it on Nashville Movie Dispatch). It made me want to go back and watch Shang-Chi because I think one of these two films is probably the best thing we’ve seen from Marvel since Avengers: Endgame. Between featuring a couple of my favorite characters in the MCU, the mental health positive messaging, the usual Marvel fun, and some solid acting performances, it’s the total package. It’s kind of roped me back into the MCU.

Question:

Answer:

In general, I’m a big fan of water. But, if we’re talking booze, I’m a gin and tonic guy. Nothing I enjoy more than a good complex botanical profile with the refreshing touch of a good tonic and a fresh lime. Also love old fashioneds, a good merlot, a paloma, margarita…I….I might have a problem!

Question:

Answer:

09 Randy Orton is showing up at the gorilla’s house, busting out a window, and punting that gorilla in the head. Over in 10 seconds.

Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
