Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, we’re sounding the *all-timer alarm* as we discuss one of Yankee’s all time greats, Clean Cotton.

Folks, I believe we have to sound the all-timer alarm for this one today. I mean, it only happens so often that we get one of these cornerstone franchises on the Yankee Candle Reviews series, but Clean Cotton absolutely fits the bill. That thing has been sitting on Yankee Candle shelves for as long as I’ve been going to Yankee Candle. And, for good reason – it’s one of the essentials. It’s one of the most basic fragrances, but it’s one that has stood the test of time. It’s simple….it’s clean….it’s cotton….that’s it! Who doesn’t love the smell of fresh laundry? I know I do!

I get that people might take issue with what I’m about to say. I’ve never shied away from controversy. But, something about this candle screams “summer time” to me. I know that technically, Clean Cotton can be burned year round, but it reminds me so strongly of fresh laundry drying on a clothesline under the summer sun that I just can’t burn it outside of that May-July window. Sorry if that offends you! I put this in the summer bucket. Yankee does a lot of things right, but when they find a tentpole fragrance and lean into it, that thing doesn’t change much. Clean Cotton is one of those scents they perfected long ago and just let it ride.

Recommended Burning: You awake on an early summer morn. The dew glistens, casting sparkles across the lawn. Lush greens pop as the blue sky shares the promise of a beautiful day. You’ve been in a bit of a funk lately, and you can feel the house around you growing stale. You concede that it’s time for a deep cleaning – of the house and of the soul. So, you turn on your Harry Styles playlist, light Clean Cotton, and you get to work – on the cleansing and on the healing.
