I still think some of the stuff we did for the SoBros Network Patreon page is some of the best work we ever did. As I told you a couple of weeks ago, I have been flipping through the archives and reliving some of the glory days of SoBros Network. That’s where I came across this gem. A few years ago, we put together a full-on SoBros Network Holiday Special. It’s one of the things I’m most proud of – an hour and 15 minutes or so of nothing but SoBros Network bits. Part of the special was this piece I did with our friends Brittany and Jesse from Danger Zone Video on the history of blow molds.
I realize I never released this on its own! It was available for our Patreon subscribers, and you could catch it as a part of the 2022 SoBros Holiday Special, but until now, it hasn’t stood on its own for public consumption.
I love blow molds. Something about them just stir that nostalgic feeling within me. Sure, they’re vintage…but it’s a little more than just looking cool. It’s the comfort of a bygone era. They’ve started making a real comeback since around the time we recorded this show, and my collection has grown a bit as well. But, this was a fun little history lesson that I felt was worth revisiting. If you’re like me and love old weird collectible things, this should be a solid show for you. Enjoy.
