Welcome back to the NFL Power Rankings on SoBros Network, which I’m still using to hopefully cash in on the SoBros Network being approved by Google News. My process is simple – I’m just looking at wins, losses, and the eye test to determine my top 10 teams in the league as we head into Week 7 of the 2020 season.
NFL POWER RANKINGS: WEEK 7 2020
1. Seattle Seahawks (5-0) – The Seahawks got a week off, so by virtue of that, I’m gonna let ’em hold on to the top spot. There’s still something about this team that just feels like a winner, and Russell Wilson should still be at the head of the MVP race. They travel to Arizona for a game with the fiery Cardinals on Sunday.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-0) – That defense is downright scary. I mean, they absolutely smothered a 4-1 Cleveland Browns squad that was firing on all cylinders, the league’s leading rushing team, like it was absolutely nothing. Big Ben seems to have found his next big play-maker in Chase Claypool. I can’t wait to see this battle of strengths – that Steelers defense vs. this Titans offense – in a battle of unbeatens this Sunday.
3. Tennessee Titans (5-0) – These Titans have somethin’ special going for ’em. They just keep finding ways to win games, and have established that you can never count ’em out. Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry both had MVP-caliber performances in the thrilling 42-36 OT win over the Texans, as the Titans continue to be one of the best offensive teams in the NFL. Next week will provide a huge measuring stick game against the Steelers.
4. Kansas City Chiefs (5-1) – The Chiefs got things ironed out and did it with the run game on Monday. Clyde Edwards-Helaire hung 161 yards on the Buffalo Bills, and as a team, the Chiefs gashed ’em for 245. Patrick Mahomes was efficient – just the performance this team needed to get things right and get back on track to defending their Super Bowl title.
5. Baltimore Ravens (5-1) – The Ravens head into their bye week at 5-1 after beating a Philadelphia Eagles team that tried to make things interesting on Sunday. Lamar Jackson was electric as usual, but the Ravens will need this bye week to get ready for a brawl with the Steelers on the other side of it. There’s some concern about that defense after they allowed the Eagles to get back into the game in the second half.
6. Green Bay Packers (4-1) – The Bucs dialed up the pressure and showed that you can force Aaron Rodgers into some mistakes if you’re constantly all over him. One game isn’t enough to completely undo the work this team put it on offense prior to the 38-10 loss, though. Rodgers thinks this is something the Packers can grow from, and he’s right – they get a chance to get back into the win column when they travel to Houston on Sunday.
7. Chicago Bears (5-1) – Credit where it’s due. I thought the quarterback issues would keep the Bears out of the NFC race, but after back to back wins over pretty good Bucs and Panthers teams, they’re in it. They’ve proven themselves a bit, and their record speaks for itself. Matt Nagy just grinding it out at 5-1. We should get a pretty fun Monday night game next week, as the Bears head to Los Angeles for a date with the Rams.
8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) – How the Bucs were able to slow down that nuclear Packers offense and MVP candidate Aaron Rodgers is beyond me, but if they can regularly play at that level, this is going to be one of the most balanced teams in the NFC, and a legit threat to rep the conference in the Super Bowl. They travel to Las Vegas to play the Raiders on Sunday Night Football this week.
9. Los Angeles Rams (4-2) – I still like the Rams, but that question of whether or not they can beat anyone that plays outside of the NFC East is so loud, my ears are ringing. Some miscues cost the Rams offense dearly, and the defense proved incapable of rising up and lifting the team to victory. They have to prove that they can beat good teams – thankfully, they’ll get the opportunity this week, hosting the Bears on Monday Night Football.
10. Arizona Cardinals (4-2) – The Cardinals are quietly becoming one of the more fun teams to watch in the NFL. With Kyler Murray at the helm, the Cards have a guy who can make plays and keep defenses guessing with this rushing ability. This team might have a say in how the NFC shakes down this season.

CURRENT SUPER BOWL PREDICTION
Gonna shift things up this week after watching that Steelers defense completely dismantle the NFL’s best rushing attack in the Cleveland Browns. I still think the Seahawks are the best in the NFL, and they have those ‘team of destiny’ kind of qualities – so, I’m changing it up this week and going Seahawks over Steelers.
