The video social media app Tik Tok really took off in 2020. It became so popular even the president wanted to shut it down. While millions of users who are predominately under the legal age to vote flocked to the app, it has become growingly popular with older generations.
Those of you who have jumped on the Tik Tok bandwagon and belong in an older generation like myself are constantly catching yourself wondering who is responsible for some of the songs heard in the videos on the app. It’s impossible to not recognize monster hits like “WAP”, “Dreams” and “Positions” when they show up on your FYP but who in the hell sings “Oh No”, “I’m an Accountant” and “What’s Poppin'”?
I’ve compiled a playlist of some of the hottest songs used in Tik Tok videos in 2020 so worry no more about who sings the song of which you’ve only heard 15 seconds of 2,000 times.
