Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com.
Question:
Let’s say you’re having a kid and you have to choose one of the following.
— Steven McCash (@MC_Cash75) March 25, 2021
Who do you choose?
A. Bobby Hill or
B. Bart Simpson
Answer:
Bless his heart, I love Bobby Hill, but, I just can’t, Steven….Bart is a little shit, but at least he’s pretty resourceful when he’s motivated. I feel like there’s potential there if he ever realizes it, and as a parent, that’s what I would want – let’s raise a functioning member of society that might be able to make something of his self and be somebody for his community. I just…..oof….I don’t know that Bobby Hill stands a chance if I’m being perfectly honest here. Judge me if you will.
Question:
#TeamKong or #TeamGodzilla ?? pic.twitter.com/Gq34SYA26H
— Brandon Vick (@SirBrandonV) March 25, 2021
Answer:
I gotta say….I’ve been #TeamKong since Day 1. I’ve always felt like King Kong got the shaft, and he was justified in tearing New York City apart. Now, I am a Godzilla fan, and you would think since he’s a giant dinosaur that can shoot lasers out of his mouth, that would look pretty damn cool compared to just a giant ape. But, no – I’ve always felt like it’s King Kong vs. the world, and I’ll ride or die with that big sumbitch.
Question, from Brittany on Instagram:
If you were to teach a class on any subject, what would it be?
Answer:
I know the term ‘masterclass’ is all the rage right now, but I honestly don’t know that I’m good enough at anything to be teaching one. That’s not meant to be self-deprecating….I’ve just taken some masterclasses before and thought, “okay, you really have no business doing this…” and I never want to be that guy.
I was a time management and organization coach at one of my previous jobs. They said I was good at it and qualified for it, so they paired me up with people who were struggling to help them improve. Yeah, it was awkward as fuck – here’s this random dude that works on the 5th floor to tell you why you suck at prioritizing your time. It didn’t work, but the fact that they had me drawing up lessons and talking to people was pretty cool. I’ve always been super organized with my SoBros work, so maybe I could do something on taking creative expression and figuring out how to turn it into a business. Maybe there’s a happy medium in between – I might could teach a course on organizing your day in a way that gives you more time to pursue your creative outlets. Something like that, y’know?
I don’t think mainstream business bro would consider me a very successful business owner because I actively ignore a lot of the widely accepted methods to grow a media company based on principle and the core values of SoBros Network (you and I have talked about this before – the “what is SoBros Network? And, who exactly should we be marketing it to?” dilemma). Not to mention, it’s not like the piggy bank is stuffed, and we’re all showing our immense wealth online. I like doing things this way, though – and I’m patient enough to let it grow its own way organically and to try and figure all aspects of running an internet company on my own instead of paying people exorbitant amounts of money to consult, or without going into a large debt that I won’t be able to pay off if the ship sinks. Doing it this way makes me feel principled and comfortable as a business owner, and we’ve built SoBros Network into something that largely sustains itself so I have the freedom and – dare I say – luxury to keep it going this way. This makes me happy, but I don’t know that it’s going to put butts in seats for some sort of business masterclass.
Oh, and also….I could teach people how to stitch a leather journal.
Question:
How many hours are you wearing the leggings this weekend?
— sobrostan (@sobrostan) March 25, 2021
Are you going to try and get the fiancé in the mood while wearing leggings?
Will any public appearances be made in the leggings?#stoneybreakstheinternet
Answer:
Stan is referring to this clip of me in the Tik Tok leggings:
Fellas, the Tik Tok leggings work on us too. pic.twitter.com/6mNz4NjCw8
— Stoney Keeley (@StoneyKeeley) March 26, 2021
Come on, Stan. Have some respect – you can’t GET turned on if you STAY turned on. That’s what life as my fiance is like 24/7. I actually won’t be wearing the leggings at all – the tag in the bag is super itchy on the top of my ass crack, and the leggings kept wanting to ride down and rest halfway down my ass. I can’t make any public appearances unless I cover up the front. The leggings do not leave much to the imagination, and I don’t feel like it’s appropriate to be taking that bulge all around town.
Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
