Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…
Question:
What you gonna do with all that junk, All that junk inside that trunk?
— Tyler (@trtidwell) April 22, 2021
Answer:
I’m gonna twerk this ass all over Nashville whenever things get back to normal. Actually, that’s a lie – if you listen to this week’s episode of the SoBros Power Hour, you would know that I never go downtown anymore, and have little desire to. The truth of the matter….and this isn’t easy for me to admit…is that that junk, all that junk inside that trunk…does more harm than good.
Listen to “Ep. 41: Has New Nashville Passed Us By?” on Spreaker.Question:
In the spirit of the @OffMenuOfficial podcast, what is your choice meal?
— Dom “Warm Beer” Oxenham-Morris (@doxom85) April 22, 2021
Still/sparkling water
Poppadoms or bread
Starter
Main course
Side dish
Drink
Dessert
Answer:
Sparkling water, for sure – I just love the “sparkles” make the meal pop. I’ll always choose sparkling over still water, if given the option because of how it enhances the meal.
I can’t say that I’ve ever had poppadoms before, so I’d have to go bread here….but give me the loaf like Macaroni Grille gives you so i can dip it into some seasoned olive oil. Also, I really want to try poppadoms now.
For the starter, I’m going with bacon-wrapped dates. It is the ultimate starter when you’re out for a nice dinner and want something beyond wings or chips and salsa.
For the main course, give me your best roasted duck, with some sort of mashed/pureed potato concoction on the side. Shout out to Etch, here in Nashville, on having the best duck I’ve ever had in my life.
I keep it simple when it comes to the drink – give me and Old Fashioned with a nice bourbon. I’m splurging here since this is my dream meal.
After it’s all said and done, polish me off with cheesecake. Any kind. Doesn’t matter. Smother my body in it.
Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
