Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…
Question, from RHog on Instagram:
How many attempts for that previous instastory?
Answer:
So, this is the video our guy RHog is referencing here (it was posted to the SoBros IG story, but I can’t embed those on the site here:
@sobrosnetwork Oh I heard you guys like trick shots? #trickshot #thickboi #countryliving

You won’t believe this, but that clip came from my second take. I had four balls, missed with all four on the first take, and then, on my 3rd attempt on the 2nd take, I sank it. I couldn’t believe it myself. I was fully prepared to be there in that field until the sun went down just trying to make one, but I sold myself short. This is a great example of why I should never doubt myself about anything ever. Also, FYI, I’ve been randomly filming myself doing cool shit like throwing ping pong balls into glass boots for a “SoBros commercial” I’m putting together.
Question:
Do you have any reoccurring nightmares? pic.twitter.com/uT0TQOMcZC
— Patrick Criswell (@PatCrizzy) May 6, 2021
Answer:
I’ve only had ’em once, and that was back in 2006. It’s a really trippy story – I would periodically have these dreams that shadow people would come out of the woods. I’d hide in a ditch, and then they’d bury me alive. That was that….and then this happened, which is probably the most terrified I’ve ever been in my life. I like to revisit this story every Spooky Season.
Question:
Would you rather be a contestant on Wipeout or American Gladiators? And how would you fare?
— Steven McCash (@MC_Cash75) May 7, 2021
Answer:
Man, I can’t do Wipeout because they have that gimmick with the things that pop out of the wall and take you out. I’ve got bad knees, and if one of those things comes at me low, I’m toast. That’s a blown out ACL waiting to happen. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched that show and thought, “that’s a torn ligament.” So, I’m staying the hell away from Wipeout. Plus, American Gladiators just has that nostalgia factor for me. I grew up on that stuff, and always wanted to compete on it….specifically the Eliminator. Tell me this isn’t the most exhilarating shit you’ll watch today:
I actually wrote about American Gladiators on an edition of Forgotten Treasures of Americana several years ago. Always fun to relive that one.
