I don’t know about you guys, but I am gearing up for a big week of the wrasslin’ right here in our very own Nashville, Tennessee. The WWE is bringing the heat to Nissan Stadium on Saturday night with the 2nd biggest show on the WWE’s calendar, SummerSlam. Never in my days as a young child growing up in Mount Juliet (it was still just a two-lane road back then) did I think that the WWE would see our fair city as worthy of such a monumental occasion. Nevertheless, here we are – getting ready to watch modern day gladiators do battle in our version of the coliseum. I can’t freakin’ wait.
And, really – there’s no reason that the action should be reserved just for Saturday night. If you’re like me and lookin’ for a spot to pregame for the big show, look no further than Bearded Iris Brewing. They’re teaming up with Wiseacre Brewing (out of Memphis) to make for one epic clash of the titans on Saturday, beginning at Noon.
The WWE SummerSlam is coming to Nashville this summer and we’re looking to throwdown with Wiseacre Brewing Company for the hottest pregame in town. Saturday, July 30th, they’ll bring you four stone cold taps of their best beer along with giveaways and raffle goodies. Here’s what else:
Two Hattie B’s Hot Chicken “Shut the Cluck Up” hot chicken eating competitions. Eat that fire to win a branded world championship belt (!) and all the glory. Signups open in the taproom at noon and competitions happen at 1PM and 2PM sharp. Six people per match. Closet champions not invited.
There’s a Road Warrior pop here waiting for you.

You can’t get much more Nashville than pro wrestling, hot chicken, Daddy’s Dogs, and Bearded Iris. You want to know the quickest way to get me to order a beer in this city? Serve Homestyle on tap. You’re slingin’ Homestyle? I’m drinkin’ beer. Those are the rules, full stop. And, of course, just to spread the love, I really dig you too, Wiseacre.
This party sounds fun as hell – I dare say more fun than the SummerSlam card itself. And, sources close to the situation have confirmed that our good friend RighteousJesse (who you’ve heard several times on the SoBros Power Hour and much more ’round here at SoBros Network) will be the host and hype man for the event. Again – what could be more Nashville?
I have it on good authority that the SoBros Network team will be at this event – if you don’t want to be a *checks notes* lame ass bitch, then join us for this sick pre-show party at Bearded Iris.
