Ah, yes – Blazing Saddles. Where to even begin? Watching this renowned classic for the first time in 2026 certainly feels different than watching it 1974, I’m certain. There are surely things in this movie that are said that you simply can’t say in the modern era. Language aside though, I found that the themes behind this stinging satire have held up surprisingly (and may discouragingly) well for all these years. I had never seen it before, but I was happy to discover it for the first time. Brandon and I dig into what makes this such a memorable movie and theorize as to why it has stood the test of time as one of the greatest comedies in cinema history on the latest episode of Movie Review Rewind!
