From Terminator Salvation scribes Michael Ferris and John Brancato comes the tentatively titled XXX: The Return of Xander Cage. Producer Neal H. Moritz (Furious) is on board and stars Vin Diesel, Samuel L. Jackson and Conor McGregor will star in the third film of the franchise.
The long awaited sequel to 2005’s XXX: State of the Union, which starred Ice Cube as a new agent, is scheduled to begin filming shortly. There doesn’t appear to be a director at this time but maybe there won’t be. Do they need a director to helm a xXx film? Probably not – that would only make it more EXTREME.
Diesel has recently announced that Samuel L. Jackson (who was in both prior films) will return to the role of NSA Agent Augustus Gibbons. He also shared news that the UFC’s biggest star Conor McGregor will have a role in the upcoming film as well although details on what that may be haven’t been shared. It doesn’t matter though because McGregor is awesome.
