It’s time for the rematch we’ve all been waiting for.
On one side, you have the undefeated SEC Champion Alabama Crimson Tide. On the other, you have the one-loss ACC Champion Clemson Tigers. Last year, these two teams met to determine the season champion in Arizona. This year, they’re in Tampa, but are back nonetheless. The 2016 National Championship was an all-time classic contest that saw Nick Saban win his fifth National Championship after Alabama defeated Clemson 45-40.
The game was knotted at 24 with just under ten minutes left to play in the game before Alabama was able to pull away. Clemson would not go quietly into the night, however, as the Tigers scored two touchdowns in the final four minutes and 40 seconds. Unfortunately for Dabo Swinney’s crew, they ran out of time.
This year’s game has a different feel to it. While it’s been argued that Saban’s 2016 team is his best yet at Alabama, no one is discounting the job Swinney has done, and the experience factor of Heisman contender Deshaun Watson. Alabama is a seven point favorite according to Las Vegas, but something tells me we may be in store for some magic tonight.
Are we, The SoBros Network, the undisputed Kings of the Drinking Game? I don’t know – that’s for y’all to decide. Regardless, we’re going to spit another one out here today for one of the biggest games in college football history.

- Mack Brown mentions that Swinney and Saban are more alike than they are different (If it’s anything like media day, this rule alone will have you drunk off your tail).
- Watson going to back-to-back Heisman ceremonies is mentioned.
- Tim Williams gets a sack.

- Steve Sarkisian picks a booger and eats it on camera…..again.
- Clemson’s defense actually pokes a butthole.
- Jonathan Allen spears someone a la Bill Goldberg.
- The name ‘Joey Freshwater’ is mentioned at all on the broadcast by any person.
- OJ Howard is the game’s MVP….again.
- Deshaun Watson is the game’s MVP.
- Someone, anyone discusses Saban’s “resurrection” of the Alabama program – from 7-6 to 4 National Championships, etc. etc. etc.
- Someone, anyone discusses Swinney’s “rise to prominence” at Clemson – taking over for Tommy Bowden, etc. etc. etc.
- Saban gets the Gatorade bath and looks super pissed. Subsequently, give yourself a Gatorade shower (or beer). Just…..do it in the bathroom so you don’t get the carpet all wet.
