Russell Westbrook’s teammates summed up pic.twitter.com/MQz9vO4Cma

I like this video for multiple reasons. First and foremost, we have to give credit for this all-time dig at the Oklahoma City Thunder. It really is a one-man show out there, and Russell Westbrook has proven that he is the rightful NBA MVP this season. I mean, 150 points in a five game series (or whatever)? That’s absurd – just an absolutely absurd human being.
Second, listen – let’s be real here. I am as big of a proponent of mind games as anyone. I love trying to get into the head of your opponent. If you can twist their brain into a pretzel, that gives you a competitive advantage.
But, this move is a fine example of overthinking the mind games and shooting yourself in the foot. It did little to confuse the opponent, and one of your boys might have a concussion.
Which one of these guys thought, “let’s try a no-look pass but BOTH of us won’t look,” and who signed off on it? What coach in America thinks this is an effective strategy? Like, “we’ll really fuck ’em up with this move!”
Ah, maybe that’s it. Maybe this didn’t happen in America. I don’t know but regardless of where it happened, everyone involved looks like a dumbass, and that one kid that got hit definitely has a headache.
Still, as a whole, I love this video, and I don’t know if you’ve enjoyed reading it, but I’ve enjoyed writing it. BRB gonna go watch this on loop for the next hour.
