So, a couple of months ago, Bobby Beadle approached me about an idea he had to expand our YouTube content. We initially brought him on for the SoBros Jam Session and to write about music, which he did admirably. His work earned him multiple nominations at the 2017 SoBros Network Awards.
But, I told Bobby what I tell all of the writers and content producers on staff: “we are the content.” I wouldn’t have brought anyone on board if I, or the team, didn’t feel like they were entertaining or unique enough. So, it’s sort of a free rein. Do what you want to do, and your work will be better. It’s the Pete Carroll philosophy: be your best you, and we’re all better (or in this case, more thoroughly entertained) for it.
With that in mind, I told Bobby to go for it…and so, Slayin’ Bass with Bobby Beadle was born. On this episode, he hits Seven Points Recreation Area on Percy Priest Lake around Hermitage, TN – just outside Nashville. I can’t wait to see where this franchise goes.
