Those of you playing against someone who had Todd Gurley yesterday in your fantasy football playoffs are in a world of hurt this morning. The guy is an absolute freak of nature, and posted a ridiculous stat line yesterday: 21 carries for 153 yards and three rushing touchdowns, with three receptions for 28 yards and a receiving touchdown. FOUR TOTAL TOUCHDOWNS! But, perhaps the most impressive feat yesterday was taking one to the house….57 yards….on a 3rd & 20…..3rd & 20!!!!

The Seahawks looked like they knew they probably should tackle Gurley, but no one really wanted to. In fact, it looked like the Seahawks wanted to do anything except for tackle Gurley. It’s like when your boss or teacher requests a volunteer for something and everyone just looks around at each other, not wanting to be the one to volunteer.
No one wants to actively seek out contact with Gurley.
For my money, this guy deserves to be in the NFL MVP discussion. These Los Angeles Rams can beat you in any way they see fit. Stifle you on defense, sling the ball around the yard with Jared Goff, Cooper Kupp, Sammy Watkins, and Robert Woods, or they can line up Gurley and steam roll you. I predicted them to win the NFC given the recent injury to Carson Wentz, and I’m sticking with it.
