We Have Our First Big Rope Swing Fail of the Year – It’s Almost Lake Season, Folks

Ah, yes – it’s May 10th…and we’re only roughly three weeks away from the official unofficial kickoff to Summer. In other words, lake season is just around the corner. I’m already getting into the spirit by prepping my swim trunks and tank tops, scouting out potential day drinking locations, and working on my tan. We’re just in the preparation stages, folks, but we already have our first good rope swing fail of the season. It’s a beauty.

As usual, here’s a link in case Instagram takes this down.

Ah, man – this guy is so eager and full of happiness. He gets the crowd going WILD….even gets a countdown to the jump and then he’s off.

BOOM – crashing into the kayaks before ultimately ending up in the river. And, that did not sound pleasant at all. I’m pretty sure that’s what it sounded like when the Undertaker threw Mick Foley off the top of Hell in a Cell. Like, he gets out of the water looking around for the soul that came out of his body. I mean, I just don’t know what happened. Did he lose his grip and slip? I don’t know.

It kind of looks like he vastly underrates the distance to the actual water. That thing comes up pretty short, but what are you going to do? Hang on? No. HELL NO! You’re going to let go and just hope you make it into the water.

Give those kayaks credit, though. They barely even budged under the weight of this guy sending it. Didn’t even tip over the floating cooler! Poor dude might want to find him some new friends, though. Doesn’t look like anyone was rushing to his aid when his spine just split in half. They were all just looking around like, “wait, but…did that really just happen?”

As far as the average rope swing fail goes, this was above average, if for nothing else than the sound of him crushing those kayaks.
