In this day and age of Nashville, real country music may as well be dead. And, if you ask me, “real” country begins and ends with Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and Brooks and Dunn. In fact, I will not hear otherwise. It’s been a long time since those glory days of country, but I’m happy to report that the iconic country duo does, in fact, still possess its fastball.

Yes I realize the Kentucky Derby was a month ago, but we can’t just let this photo pass by unnoticed. And, hey – we said we’d report the news…we never said anything about reporting it on time.
This is a classic case of “real recognize real.” We’re known for our fashion coverage…we like to think we help define the Nashville fashion scene. So, we just have to give these guys a quick shout out.
Ronnie Dunn looks like he’s taking a break from filming the latest installment of Miami Vice….LOVE the sunglasses indoors…white shirt, tucked in, over khakis, khaki jacket, and a black belt. This is just the classic Summer time style. He doesn’t look a day over 30.
Then, you have Kix Brooks with the BOLD look of a salmon jacket over khakis, salmon and black tie that matches the black cowboy hat, and a million dollar smile. It’s a tremendous effort to coordinate, and the guy just radiates confidence because of it.
It may be 20 years past the Brooks and Dunn prime, but don’t say these guys don’t know how to still bring it in 2018. They’ve still got the goods. In fact, I’ll put money down right now that they could put out a platinum record TODAY.
