Yesterday was Bruiser Brody’s birthday and once again I found myself watching the excellent Highspots documentary while playing the “Who would I love to see Bruiser fight?” game. What followed was hours of deliberation over many Modelos culminating in THE list of current Bruiser Brody dream matches.
Brody vs. Brock Lesnar
I want this mainly for Brody to no sell the shit out of everything Brock does to the point that Brock just F5s the ref and takes the disqualification.
Brody vs. PCO
Holy shit. The stare down alone would be a sight to see. Brody’s crazy eyes and mannerisms across from PCO in his total PCO-ness. From there we would get bat shit insanity that may or may not end with the venue torn to pieces and both men being revered for years to come.
Brody vs. Brett Ison
The SUP main event we’ll never be blessed with. Two guys that will gladly fight in the ring or in the crowd and deal out punishment with glee. Brody throwing heart punches and jumping knees with Brett coming back with elbow after elbow. It’s really just beautiful, violent art with these two.
Brody vs. Joey Janela
This would be some straight Lord of the Flies shit. I almost don’t even want to speak on this because whatever I can come up with in my deranged mind Joey would take that up to an eleven. I see Janela being thrown off something super high up,, then taking a jumping knee drop for no apparent reason.
Brody vs. Nick Gage
Because fuck yeah that’s why.
Brody vs. Braun Strowman
Good googly moogly if we could get Thanos in here we would have a triple threat match for the heavyweight championship of the universe. I mean, depending on the size of the ring and the speed the two reach when connecting, this very well could cause another Big Bang leading to a whole other universe where the winner would be King and continue his reign as biggest badass ever.
Brody vs. Walter
Another heavy hitter, the Austrian stands 6 ft 4 in and legitimately almost caved in PCO’s chest at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 2 a couple of months back. He’s about as BAMF as it gets and absolutely none of this would have impressed Bruiser Brody. Nope, Brody would have flown to Walter’s neck of the woods and gave him the old what for. This also comes with a clause that we’d get Brody and Stan Hansen vs. Ringkampf.
