The Checks and Championships Podcast returns to the SoBros Network. This time, John Mosley and Poppa Bear join me to recap and review the biggest weekend in Tennessee professional wrestling. Mose talks about his experiences at the Bandit and Resolute shows, and we all dive in on the 2018 Scenic City Invitational and Southern Underground Pro’s Not Problematic.
SCI weekend has reached legendary status for the wild antics and surreal scene at Chattanooga’s Best Western Heritage Inn. But, it’s the brotherhood that brings us all together. We touch on that, and give a first hand account of our weekend, starting with us leaving Mount Juliet at 8AM, and ending with us nearly collapsing in heaps of humanity by Sunday evening.
But, we do get into some serious wrestling talk. Each of us dish out our top three matches from the entire weekend, we talk about the breakout stars, unsung heroes, and award our own “weekend MVP” as well.
