Should the Titans Consider Bringing Back Kenny Britt?

Yesterday afternoon, news broke that the New England Patriots would be releasing wide receiver Kenny Britt. And, I’m just here to stir shit up. I’m only here for the LOLz.

Yeah, I’m with Rap Sheet on this one. That’s a bit of a surprise move coming from a team that could use some receiving depth. I mean, Britt’s not going to go out there and win you any games in 2018. But, by many accounts, he was poised to be a significant contributor for the Patriots this season. But, a nagging hamstring injury kept him sidelined for a lot of training camp, and now he’s cooked. DONE!

Now, it’s all on Chris Hogan and Phillip Dorsett to keep Tom Brady from aging 20 years in a matter of four games before Julian Edelman returns from suspension. That’s not exactly inspiring, but the Patriots are still the Patriots. Until they actually decline, I’m just going to assume they can’t possibly decline. It’s a best practice of mine.

But, can’t you already here Titans Facebook fervently stamping their keyboards with, “should the Titans bring back Kenny Britt?”

Well, the Titans need receiving depth, of course! And, what if Rishard Matthews isn’t really healthy for the start of the season?!?! The Titans don’t have a seventh guy in the rotation right now! THEY’RE GOING TO NEED HIM REMEMBER WHEN HE WAS GOOD FOR THREE GAMES THAT ONE TIME?!?!

So, I just wanted to get ahead of the curve and talk about this possibility. That’s what real journalists like me do – examine all the angles. Tell the human interest story the Internet wants to read. That’s why we’re here today.

But, ultimately, Dave Richard has the scoop on the teams who should look at Britt:

Jim Ross: “God as my witness, he is broken in half!”
