Gotta Love an Old Throwback Daredevil Stunt

Big fan of a good daredevil stunt. You guys should know given how frequently I post clips that are of a daredevil nature. I’m a big adrenaline junkie (kind of…..if the adrenaline rush is very calculated and not risky…). If I were to post every clip that gets my attention, this website would feature nothing but stunts. It would be the Hot Rod starring Andy Samberg of websites.

But, this one particularly caught my eye because it’s vintage. And, you see businesses all the time advertising “vintage” shit, because people love vintage shit.

It’s a marketing ploy, but listen – we’re still technically a business, and I have to think about things like marketing. I think about it all the time – how can I reach new potential customers? Well, I have finally found the bridge between my love for stunts and marketing “vintage shit” to people. It’s a clip of an old vintage stunt. That’s right – a vintage car, filmed on a vintage camera, doing vintage shit. VINTAGE!

As usual, here’s a link in case Instagram takes this video down.

Is this steampunk? I can’t keep up with the trends these days. Should I advertise this post as steampunk? Also, gotta love the way this vehicle just absolutely implodes upon hitting the ground. I was shocked to see it pick up enough speed and momentum to fuckin’ send it to the moon, but man – it seems like gravity pulled twice as hard on this thing.

This gives new meaning to the term “three yards and a cloud of dust.” Because this thing literally traveled three yards in the air and then ‘sploded.

Has this been an effective advertising gimmick yet? Have I said the word ‘vintage’ enough? Man, I just have a really good feeling about this one.

I hope this campaign is what gets us over that 50K hump. That’s our next big milestone – 50,000 pageviews in a month – and this could very well be our ticket there.
