In Case You Missed It, Zach Mettenberger IS BACK!

Well, well, well – if it ain’t the ol’ Mett Show tearing up the southeast once again. In case you missed it (and if you did, shame on you for missing out on the high-flying action of the AAF), the Memphis Express put in Zach Mettenberger at quarterback on Saturday. He damn near pulled off the comeback on the vaunted and undefeated Orlando Apollos.

You love to see a good old grizzled gunslinger get the call and rise to the occasion. I’m not ready to say the Tennessee Titans need to contact the Mett Show just yet, but I am ready to say that he needs to be on their draft radar.

That’s how it works, right? Like, if Mettenberger wants to enter the NFL Draft, he just has to file some paperwork. So, why not? It’s clear after this performance that he’ll be in the NFL again someday.

Mettenberger’s final stat line read 9/12 for 120 yards, two TDs, and ZERO interceptions.

If the Express had gone to him sooner, they might’ve been better than 0-3. They probably beat the Arizona Hotshots, right? They probably beat the best team in the AAF, the Apollos, right? It only makes sense for Mett Show to be the franchise moving forward, and I am HERE. FOR. IT.

By the way, with all the writing I’m doing about the AAF, it makes me think we need a full-time AAF writer on staff PRONTO. This federation is going to live forever!

Signed,
Diehard Memphis Express fan
