Here’s part two of my 2019 Southern Underground Pro dream matches! Make sure to check out part one here on the SoBros Network.

They Might Be Giants vs. Sadkampf
I’ll just go ahead and call it… I believe that Sadkampf will be crowned the first-ever SUP tag team champions. Garrini and Ku are my official pick to win the tournament and they have to be considered the favorites after their victory over the Jollyville Fuck-Its at “I Am King”. That said, I want to see the team of Marko Stunt and Cabana Man Dan challenge them for those titles.
The seeds for this tag team dream match were planted the moment that Marko Stunt defeated Dominic Garrini for the Bonestorm championship at “Don’t Look In The Basement East”. Garrini attacked Stunt following his title loss which prompted Stunt’s partner, Cabana Man Dan to come out for the save. Kevin Ku then swerved the SUP crowd by aligning with Garrini to join in on the beatdown.
Stunt would go on to drop the belt two months later to Brett Ison at “All Eyez On Me” then unfortunately suffered a broken leg soon after. CMD is teaming with Mance Warner at the moment, and the team of Cabana Mance Dan recently advanced in the SUP tag team tourney with a win over The Production in January. But when Marko is back to 100%, I hope to see They Might Be Giants get a chance at revenge on Sadkampf.

Craig Mitchell vs. AJ Gray
This matchup has a big implication: The winner becomes the #1 contender to the Bonestorm championship.
Craig Mitchell has quickly climbed his way up the ladder at SUP by earning notable victories over Gary Jay at “Don’t Look In The Basement East”, Danhausen and Tripp Cassidy in a triple threat at “All Eyez On Me”, and his most recent win over Rockin Rivera aka “STAB” at “I Am King”. It was made pretty clear that Rivera isn’t the true STAB, so I think that Mitchell will have to fight off this mystery villain for a bit longer. But after he takes care of business against the “true” STAB, I think Mitchell will set his sights on the Bonestorm title. With Mitchell’s in-ring style and attitude, he’s a believable contender against anyone who holds championship gold.
AJ Gray was last seen in a SUP ring back in September at “Don’t Look In The Basement East”. Gray was on the losing end of a handicap tag team match to now-Bonestorm champ Brett Ison and current #1 contender O’Shay Edwards after Ison pinned Gray following a low blow and Street Justice.
I have to imagine that Gray wants to get back at both Ison and Edwards, and one of those two men will hold the Bonestorm belt after this weekend’s “What Could Possibly Go Right?” As a matter of fact, Gray holds a clean win over Edwards at “Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire” in April of last year, so a rematch makes total sense if Edwards becomes the champ.
“Rich Homie Juice” was actually set to receive a shot at the Bonestorm title back at “Achy Breaky Heart” last February before the card was majorly shuffled around, and he went on to have a war of an “I Quit” match against former champion Curt Stallion last August at “Not Problematic”. Gray is one of the first names that come to mind when thinking about the SUP brand, and I want to see him get a chance to become the face of the promotion.
Craig Mitchell and AJ Gray are both one big win away from breaking out as the clear #1 contender to the Bonestorm title, so I’d like to watch them battle it out for the opportunity. Stylistically, this match has the potential to be a show-stealer.

Stokely Hathaway vs. Allie Kat
Allie Kat is the most popular female wrestler on the SUP roster. The crowd absolutely adores her, and for great reasons. She has entertaining matches, a unique character, and a clear love for the professional wrestling business. Her feud with “Slutty Kat” Josh Bishop is one of the storylines that helped put SUP on the independent wrestling map; her match against Tripp Cassidy was an emotional rollercoaster; she even took part in the first-ever women’s match in SUP history against Samantha Heights. Allie Kat is also an ally of Mr. Brickster, as the two teamed up against Teddy King and Jaden Newman last November. Allie’s alliance with Brickster is noteworthy because the leader of the BRICKNATION has a sworn enemy in Stokely Hathaway.
Stokely Hathaway is coming off of a loss to Mr. Brickster in a match that stemmed from Hathaway’s disdain for Brickster’s reality show past. In a previous lifetime, Brickster was known as Romance on VH1’s “I Love New York”, a TV show that I figure Stokely auditioned for but never got a callback. After losing to Brickster, “Big Stoke” announced that Faye Jackson would be making her SUP debut to defend his honor at “What Could Possibly Go Right?” Since Hathaway set up an intergender match for Brickster, I feel like Brickster should return the favor and give Allie Kat a shot against the man that got stood up by Rihanna on Valentine’s Day.
In all seriousness, Stokely Hathaway is one of the biggest names on the indie scene and he’s currently all over the place. He even holds a victory over current IWTV champion Orange Cassidy and had a rematch with “Freshly Squeezed” during this year’s GRAMMY awards. I think Stokely and Allie Kat could put on a fun match that would generate a positive buzz throughout the wrestling community.
There are plenty more matches that I want to see in SUP this year. Let me know on Twitter at @FightTalk_ if you want a part three of this list!
