According to a report from Al.com, the Alabama Crimson Tide has announced a home and home series against the Oklahoma Sooners which will take place on Sept. 11, 2032, in Norman and Sept. 10, 2033, in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama is coming off of a 45-34 victory over the Sooners from this past season’s College Football Playoff semi-final. The two schools have played each other six times going all the way back to 1963. Oklahoma leads the all-time series 3-2 along with a tie.

This is the fourth home-and-home series announced by Alabama this year. The Crimson Tide is scheduled to play Texas in 2022 and 2023, West Virginia in 2026 and 2027 and Notre Dame in 2028 and 2029.

Okay, first of all – someone better get busy on filling those dates in 2024, 2025, 2030, and 2031. We’re running out of time, people! People’s livelihoods are at stake.

Second of all, this will give me ample time to calm down from the anxiety of watching the second half of that Orange Bowl. Props to Kyler Murray for not backing down and making that a game.

This is one of those things that sounds pretty cool in 2019, but who knows where these teams will be by the time the games are actually played? It’s highly unlikely Nick Saban will still be coaching. The Tide dynasty is going to end at some point – who knows?

Since we’re already planning this far in advance, maybe it’s not too early for me to make my 2033 National Championship prediction: the Arkansas Razorbacks will defeat the Purdue Boilermakers.

Hope you’ve enjoyed me make a mockery of this legitimately cool news. That’s what we do here, thanks.
