You know what really grinds my gears? Simple mispronunciations. Like, I’ve already done one of these Hot Minute bits about people mispronouncing the name of Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota. And, I try to keep it at a minimum because there are SO MANY things that people mispronounce. But, this is one we all definitely have to #BeBetter with. The word ‘realtor.’
Where we got this extra syllable, I don’t know. But, every time I hear someone say “real-uh-tor,” it just makes me cringe. My spine shivers, and I probably have a noticeable Jim Halpert face as I try not to scream. Where do you people see the “uh” in “realtor?” I just don’t get it.
Maybe I never will. Maybe I’m not meant to. It could be one big powerful cosmic joke that I have such a disposition. I’m meant to be an old curmudgeon. Maybe that is my fate and no one at all will think this video is funny.
