At GCW’s Backyard Wrestling show on the 4th of July, Alex Zayne took on Tony Deppen and proceeded to set wrestling Twitter on fire. Our guy Mose has even called it a ‘Match of the Year’ contender. The highlights went viral, and as a result, Zayne’s started popping up at booking after booking.
Last week, “The Sauce” was generous enough to give us some time. “The General” John Mosley joined me on the latest episode of Checks and Championships, as we chatted with Zayne about a myriad of topics.
Most notably, “how in the hell did you end up here?” The last few weeks have been a blur for Zayne, so we get his perspective on it, seeing what this whirlwind has felt like to him. We talk about his history in backyard wrestling, debuting against Craig Mitchell in SUP on 8/4/19, and so much more!
