I’m no expert, but flying your drone out over a lake seems like a big time risky play. No one’s ever accused me of being a diehard drone enthusiast, so maybe I just don’t understand it. But, if I paid hundreds of dollars for something, I don’t think my gut reaction would be to go fly it out over the lake.
Nonetheless, that shouldn’t take away from this impressive display of resilience and fortitude that brings us here today. Just check this shit out.
When your drone runs out of battery over a lake, timing is everything… pic.twitter.com/btDekWXpoV

Just amazing stuff – maybe we put this guy in the Clutch Hall of Fame.
Everyone’s talking about the commitment it takes to pull this off. You have to just charge deep into lake water…that looks like gross lake water, mind you….that you can’t see into…and you have to be willing to swim back toting a drone above the water.
Everyone’s talking about the athleticism it takes to get out that far in such a quick amount of time. This guy is obviously an Olympic level swimmer that has practiced for hours…hell maybe even days…on end to achieve peak conditioning.
But, what I want to draw your attention to is this guy’s recognition. His snap decision-making skills are on a level I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. He immediately reads the situation and acts to address it. This guy is like the Drew Brees of lake drone flying. He could be a starting caliber quarterback for the National Football League.
Respect.
