PPW: So Fresh, So Clean Recap

Paradigm Pro had another stacked card up in Jeffersonville this past Friday. After a run in with a Louisville Raising Cane’s, we rolled over to The Arena for some of that hard hitting shit we love oh so much.

AC Mack vs. Cole Radrick: This was Mack’s debut for Paradigm, but it didn’t take long for the PPW faithful to feel the way we all do about AC. After getting the crowd all riled up, Cole Radrick hit to a huge reaction. This was a damn fine opener, but with these two, you could honestly put them anywhere on the card, and the people would have got going. At times, AC really showed what has made him such a long tenured Action Champion. Minus the dick kick, that is. It looked like Cole was just about done before “Wildheart” came alive big time, hitting a Swanton Bomb for the win. Solid stuff throughout.

James Bandy vs. Corey Storm: Early on, Storm wasn’t really here for the match as he said his eyes were 100% on Myron Reed. With that, Bandy just punished Corey for a good portion of the match. I mean, the highlights were really Bandy just bringing the pain. With the crowd behind him and at a fever pitch, Storm brings everything to a halt with a vicious chair shot. Bandy wins by disqualification but “All Business” should be really proud of his performance. He’s improved quite a bit over the last few months, and it showed. Watch out for James Bandy down the line at Paradigm, y’all.

The Awesome Odyssey (Jack Andrews and Chris Copeland) vs. PME (Philly Collins and Marino Tenaglia): This was batshit crazy. We’re big on PME over at SoBros HQ, so it was a real pleasure seeing everyone get fired up when “Sussudio” hit. This was my first time seeing Awesome Odyssey live and they did a couple of things really well. The four did all kinds of crazy things, but there may not have been a bigger moment than Marino flying to the outside thanks to a Philly boost. It wouldn’t be enough for PME though, as Andrews & Copeland go on a frenzy to secure the victory.

Myron Reed vs. Alan Angels: Alan Angels kept the streak of badass debuts going on the night as he went toe to toe with Myron. As expected, the two brought some real high flying shit, but both also showed that they’ve got more in their wheelhouse than that. It really felt like Angels was gonna get out of Jeffersonville with a huge win, but Reed caught him slipping just by a hair for the win. Post match, Corey Storm hit the ring, then started hitting Myron. Even as tired as he was from the back and forth with Angels, Myron was all about getting his hands on Storm. This fight has to happen sooner rather than later.

Bradley Prescott IV vs. Manders vs. Jacob Ryan: This one nearly stole the show, but that shouldn’t be a surprise with the talent involved. Manders was a late addition to the show, which everyone except his opponents appreciated. Ryan and Prescott did what they could with The Cornbelt Cowboy, but it really felt like Manders was just gonna cut right through those two.  Bradley is the goddamn ace around those parts though and thanks to some Natty Light swigs along with a very optimally timed 450 he was able to get another big win under the Paradigm banner. Again, this is a match worth seeking out as the three brought all the smoke.

Freddie Hudson vs. Wes Barkley: Wes brought in his world famous (it’s really not) undefeated PPW record. He tried to control Freddie throughout the bout to keep the streak alive, but it wasn’t meant to be. The PPW crowd was very, very, very pleased to see Hudson send Wes home with the L.

Brett Ison vs. Bobby Beverly: This was exactly what you think it was. A fight with some really good wrestling sprinkled in. The two battled on the outside with each tasting the barricade/ringposts. Following that up with fists and forearms was a real decision by these badasses. The real highlight of the match comes with the two trading saitos over and over again before finally collapsing. Seriously, this was absolutely nuts to see. Ison eventually goes for Street Justice, but Bev was able to spin out just before contact. The lack of impact led to a two count that still surprised everyone in attendance. Bev ends up getting the win with a roll up where he may have got a hold of the tights. Post match, the Beverly invites Ison to bring his fellow Death Dealer (‘Slick Willy Brewer) back up to Paradigm for a shot at the tag titles currently held by Bobby and Matthew Justice aka The Lifers. All hell is gonna break loose in that one.

Paradigm Championship- AJ Gray (c) vs. Matthew Justice [No Disqualification]: Following up the hard hitting co-main was gonna be tough, but these two absolutely tore the roof off. From the jump, both men hit each other with everything they had. After battling to the outside, the two traded power shots all along the barricade and nearly into the crowd. At one point, Justice unloaded a shot that AJ ducked nearly ending with, noted BAMF artist, Steven Fain getting his head taken off. After fighting back to the inside, we had more explosive offense that didn’t end until AJ hit the ‘Chopped and Screwedriver’ on the Paradigm title for the hard fought win. This was an absolute barnburner and that’s coming from someone that had high expectations for the one on one matchup. Add this to the long list of ‘Bangers in 2019’ for both men.

It’s always a good time at Paradigm. Everyone is always super welcoming, they put on dope cards and we get JRose as ring announcer which is always fun. Big time shoutout to the PPW crew for shouting us out during the show as well. Can’t thank y’all enough.
