Welcome in to a new feature we are trying out here on SoBros Network because we were recently approved to be on Google News (YUGE win, LFG), and I am testing whether or not it’s worth doing these sorts of power rankings for the SEO. Yes, that’s the entire basis for this set of NFL Power Rankings.
For me, it’s pretty simple. I’m just looking at wins and losses, and I’m looking at the eye test to determine my top 10 teams in the NFL each week. LFG.
NFL Power Rankings: Week 3 2019
1. New England Patriots (3-0) – The Pats are a whopping +89 on the season, allowing just a single point per game on defense. Tom Brady is as efficient as ever, and this Pats machine is running on all cylinders.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (3-0) – The Ravens made it an interesting game on Sunday, but the Chiefs were really never out of control. They’re overwhelming people on offense this season, to the surprise of no one.
3. Dallas Cowboys (3-0) – Never mind that their opponents are a combined 1-8, the Cowboys are rolling. Dak Prescott looks like a legitimate MVP candidate through three games.
4. Los Angeles Rams (3-0) – Maybe I was quick to dismiss the Rams. They sure look like they belong in the upper echelon of teams in the NFC.
5. Baltimore Ravens (2-1) – With Lamar Jackson’s improvement as a passer, this Ravens team is very dangerous in the AFC. They nearly came back and stole one from the Chiefs.
6. New Orleans Saints (2-1) – Tough loss to the Rams aside, this Saints team has two quality wins under its belt for 2019. This looks like a team that can compete for the Super Bowl.
7. Green Bay Packers (3-0) – The Packers are 3-0 and they’re doing it with defense, holding opponents to just 11.2 points per game. It’s more complete a team than we expected, and that could make them a dark horse in the NFC.
8. San Francisco 49ers (3-0) – The team I projected as this year’s surprise team in the NFC is off to an undefeated start with two impressive road wins and a gutsy performance against a desperate Pittsburgh Steelers team. I’m anxious to see how this team stacks up in the NFC West.
9. Buffalo Bills (3-0) – Likewise, my surprise pick in the AFC is off to an undefeated start, grinding opposing teams out. We’ll see where they stand once the competition picks up, but for now, they look like they may have some say in how the AFC shakes down.
10. Minnesota Vikings (2-1) – Dalvin Cook is leading the NFL in rushing and the Vikings, minus a hiccup against the Packers, are rolling because of it. This looks like a formidable unit in the NFC North.
