We’re three games into the season. The Tennessee Titans are 1-2. It’s time – we’re done. We’re cooked. Marcus Mariota is NOT the answer and now that the season is officially over at 1-2 and it’s all Mariota’s fault, we’re going to start looking ahead to the class of quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Burrow has looked like a completely different passer this season as compared to how he played last year. He’s calm, cool, and collected inside the pocket and has thrown with great accuracy and timing.
Okay, first things first, I thought that first paragraph I wrote would come across as funny and not so condescending towards CBS Sports. That’s my bad guys, and I vow to #BeBetter in the future.
Round 1, Pick 12, ladies and gentlemen. That’s where we sit right now. If that’s the case, you can likely forget about Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert. But, I’m actually okay with that. I’ve been interested in Jake Fromm and his potential fit in the NFL for a while now, but it’s intriguing to see what this season is doing for Joe Burrow.
I’ve even seen some Titans fans tweeting that he’s performing better than Fromm -AND- Herbert. Joe Brady brought that offense from the New Orleans Saints to the LSU Tigers, and Burrow looks like a stud in it. That’s crazy to me, considering this dude looked un-draftable in 2018. Now, we’re talking about him going to the Titans #12 overall.
But, honestly, I’d be okay with it…having watched Burrow’s progress at LSU this season and all. Regardless, it certainly seems like Mariota is running out of opportunities to cement his self as the long-term quarterback for the Tennessee Titans.
