SUP: You’re Next Preview (Title Matches, plus O’Shay/Manders)

Sunday brings us the newest chapter of the Southern Underground Pro story with You’re Next kicking off at 2pm. I’m getting this information to you early because this card is 1000000% stacked. Normally, I take a deep dive into the title match, but with so many prime time matchups on the show, I’ve decided to look at three. Three insane, incredible matches. First up is a fight between two of the most talked about guys in the SUP universe.

O’Shay Edwards vs. The One Called Manders

This is a certified ass beater that needs no introduction. Two of the hottest names at times for SUP who both really need a win. When asked what the match meant for him, O’Shay didn’t pull any punches:

“Two of the biggest dudes SUP has seen are going to lock up and see who’s got the juice to put the other away. Manders is everywhere from AAW to Freelance. But this is Nashville…this is SUP…this ain’t Iowa.”

O’Shay Edwards

When it comes to Manders, he’s focused on Shay, but appears to still have a certain ONE person his mind:

“Last time at SUP I had two matches and for the first time at The Basement East I lost. TWICE. I had one of the biggest, best weekends in my wresting career. Crux wrestling debut, Winning SCI/Action futures showcase, but with all that on the last day at SUP, it ended on a sour note.

Ever since then, I’ve been working harder than I ever have because all of that isn’t good enough. Capping off that Sunday that way, losing to Jaden Newman and ex-Bonestorm Champion Dominic Garrini left a sour taste in my mouth. Now I know what you’re thinking…”Manders you had an amazing weekend.” Yeah, but it wasn’t good enough. Losing isn’t good enough. Losing isn’t acceptable. I need to do better.

When I saw the match announcement for the next show, me vs O’Shay…I was super excited. I respect O’Shay a lot! He’s a guy who’s carved his way through the wrestling business. He’s one of the toughest guys at SUP. Probably around the country. Me and him have a similar background. He’s strong and quicker than you think. This is one of my biggest tests. Definitely biggest in SUP.

But that’s what I live for. I want it to be uncomfortable. I want it to be grueling because I believe that’s where I shine. That’s what I love. So, this Sunday LIVE on IWTV, be prepared for the Cornbelt Cowboy and The Big Bad Kaiju to literally destroy The Basement East and I tie down and claim the Kaiju on my mantel. IM COMING FOR YOU JADEN!”

Manders

My prediction for this one is simple: Pain.

IWTV Championship- Warhorse (c) vs. Craig Mitchell

This is a real PPV match. Warhorse defending his freshly won IWTV Independent Championship against a legit number one contender in Craig. You could argue that Craig is due a Bonestorm Title match as well which tells you how dominant he’s been in and out of The Basement East. When asked about the matchup, Craig kept it short and sweet

I respect Warhorse and everything he has done to get where he is. I just need to prove why I’m the conversation and why I am not just one of the best in the Midwest, but in the world.”

Craig Mitchell

On the flip side, Warhorse was thinking about this matchup right after winning the title.

“CRAIG HAS HAD A #1 CONTENDER SHOT FOR MONTHS. HE WAS THE FIRST PERSON I REQUESTED TO WRESTLE FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP. HIS MATCH IS A PRIORITY.”

Warhorse

Both men are on absolute fire right now and feeling about as confident as possible. This may steal the entire show.

Bonestorm Championship: Brett Ison (c) vs. AC Mack

This is about as goot goot as it gets. AC slid into the ring last SUP show and kicked Brett Ison in the dick. It was the opening shot in what may be a quick war as The Pitbull has all eyes on Mack.

“AC…fuck ’em. My violence will speak volumes. I worked hard. Did what was necessary to obtain the title and I will do what is necessary to keep it in my possession.”

Brett Ison

AC had some words specifically for Ison:

“Brett, you’ve done wonders putting SUP on the map, I’ll give ya that, but there’s a downside to your work. You caught the attention of the Title Snatcher! Make no mistake about it, I’m not JUST here for another booking. I’ve said it before, anywhere I go, I plan to take over and SNATCH whatever title I damn well please. This Sunday, say goodbye to your…I mean MY Bonestorm Championship!”

AC Mack

Ison laughs off the ‘threat.’ He adds:

“my hate, pain and rage fuels me daily to piss off a world that pissed on me from birth. Kill or be killed mother fuckers.”

AC is one of the hottest names on the scene and rightfully so. Everywhere he shows up, he makes a statement. He’s been the ACTION champion for 300+ days. Every test he’s faced, he’s passed – whether it be from bullshit tactics or not. I hope he knows this test on Sunday is gonna be next level. Brett Ison is riding a wave right now that really can’t be explained. If Mack doesn’t bring his A++ game, he’s just gonna be another name in the legacy of “Bonestorm Brett.”
