Things continue to get crazier and crazier out in these Nashville streets. Opry Mills is apparently the most dangerous spot in Nashville now. Dave & Buster’s continues to serve what they call “food” (which, to me, is the biggest crime of all). And now, we have ourselves a themed criminal, the movie theater robber, on the loose.
Police said Lloyd Eugene Rhodes, 57, purchased a ticket for a movie Wednesday night and hid inside the building overnight. When the manager reported for work Thursday morning, Rhodes robbed her at gunpoint, according to CBS-affiliate WVTF.
And, that motherfucker got away with her black Kia Forte. Apparently, this is this guy’s shtick….his “gimmick,” as is commonly stated in the pro wrestling industry.
He hides out in movie theaters, robs the manager, and makes off like a bandit. There HAS to be some sort of psychological issue with the movie theater robber. Maybe he’s a cinephile who has a compulsion to rob people. Like a cross between Gene Shalit and the Wet Bandits. He just can’t help himself.
Folks – it sucks. I mean, as far as criminals go, this HAS to be the worst, right? If you rob me at gunpoint and I know you hid in the building all night long, I am going to think you’re a loser. Even if you shoot me – I will die thinking, “this fucking loser sat in an empty movie theater ALL NIGHT just to take my 2006 Nissan Altima.”
He pulled this in Memphis recently, and maybe he thinks this gives him a really cool aura like some of the great criminals of America’s past, but really – he just comes across as a total rat.
I hope they catch this guy, but jail might not be the way to go. Sounds like he’s used to sitting in barren places for extended amounts of time. If he really is a cinephile, make him watch Gigli on repeat for five consecutive years, LFG.
