"The General" John Mosley recaps all the action from TWE's 11/9/2019 show.

TWE was back in action this past Friday and they gave us A LOT to unpack. Before the show could even get going, Ray Fury broke some big time news. Moving forward, Ray will be the ‘warden’ of TWE, which the crowd absolutely loved. His first order was to announce that TWE will hold a tournament to crown a new heavyweight champion. Gary Jay vs. Bailey Blake was supposed to be a qualifier for the tournament, but with Gary banged up, he wasn’t able to make the trip to Chattanooga. This brought out Bailey Blake who assumed he would be getting a bye. Not only was he NOT getting a bye, but the man with the plan, Roger Cantrell, had his power removed, keeping him strictly in a managerial role. If all that wasn’t upsetting enough for the two, Ray brought out Bailey’s opponent….Zachary Cooper!

HW Title Tournament Qualifier: Bailey Blake vs. Zachary Cooper- Most of this match consisted of Cooper throwing Bailey around like a sack of potatoes. Blake fought back as best he could, but there just wasn’t much to be done with Cooper. That is, until Cantrell got involved, smacking Zachary with his cane, leading Bailey to take full advantage. The win makes Bailey entrant #1 in the tourney.

Slade Porter vs. Peyton Polson- Battle in styles here as the Human BB Gun tried to bring his style of violence to “Private Eye” Slade Porter. Slade isn’t one to back away from a fight though, as he fired back every single time. Polson hit a nasty drop kick from the top which may have been enough on another night, but not here. Porter took it all in stride before taking over, leading to another win under the TWE banner.

HW Title Tournament Qualifier: Jay Sparkz vs. Jayke Murphy- Sparkz was on one y’all. He came out in a mood that can best be described as “mad as hell.” He got into it with the TWE faithful on numerous occasions throughout the match. Murphy on the other hand seemed completely zoned in on this opportunity. Jayke threw his entire arsenal at Jay, even locking up a couple of slick submissions along the way. When it appeared that Jay finally got his head in the game and was looking for the win, he got caught with a slick pin from Murphy. Jay was shocked. The TWE crowd was shocked. Really, the only person not shocked was Jayke. The win puts Jayke right in the thick of things as the second entrant in the title tournament.

The Wild Wolves (Poncho and Michael Dunn) vs. The Movement (Chip Hazard and Talon Williams)- This was about as hard hitting as it gets. The Wolves are used to these kind of fights thanks to the lessons taught by Uncle Byff. Chip and Talon were more than happy to beat more than a few lessons of their own into the wolves. No joke – both of the wolves were being thrown around with so much force, it’s amazing the ring survived. After it was all said and done, The Movement pick up a hard fought win before being attacked by Byff/The Wolves and Momma Hannah. This brought out Aiden Wright who (to no one’s surprise) was looking for a fight.

Aiden Wright vs. Uncle Byff- Carnage from start to finish with Aiden doing some real damage. The only thing that really kept him from getting the win was the numbers game played by The Wild Wolves. Every opportunity they got, the wolves cracked Aiden with everything they had. Byff was just as violent as ever, taking advantage of the help from his young but wild wolves. After Byff picked up the win, we saw the numbers game again take over as Aiden was getting the beat down until The Movement hit the ring to roaring applause from the crowd. With everything evened up, Byff and the wolves got out of dodge. It feels like we may just be getting started with these six men.

HW Title Tournament Qualifier: Brett Ison vs. Aaron Epic- Just before the match began, Warden Ray Fury came out to let everyone know that the ring had in fact taken some damage and he could not sanction this matchup. Of course, these two fighters said ’screw that’ leading to a Falls Count Anywhere stipulation being added. The two beat the absolute hell out of each other all over the TWE Arena. There was more than a few “Ooofs” let out by the audience through out this contest. Seeing human beings slap onto concrete will do that to you. After fighting on the outside, the two savages made their way into the ring for a final showdown. After a night of hard hitting offense, it only seemed right to see Ison hit a vicious rolling elbow for the win. Ison takes the third spot in the title tournament, but both men made it clear that a rematch down the line was completely on the table.

Another violent, fun, crazy TWE show in the books with three entrants in the heavyweight title tournament made official. Don’t forget that TWE is back on Saturday November 23 with Jaden Newman vs. Warhorse in a two out of three falls match already announced.
