Welcome in to a new feature we are trying out here on SoBros Network because we were recently approved to be on Google News (YUGE win, LFG), and I am testing whether or not it’s worth doing these sorts of power rankings for the SEO. Yes, that’s the entire basis for this set of NFL Power Rankings.
For me, it’s pretty simple. I’m just looking at wins and losses, and I’m looking at the eye test to determine my top 10 teams in the NFL each week. LFG.
NFL POWER RANKINGS: WEEK 11 2019
1. Baltimore Ravens (7-2) – With the 49ers going down last night, the Ravens are now officially the hottest team in the NFL, riding a five-game winning streak. With Lamar Jackson at the helm, this is the most exciting team in the AFC. They run the ball like crazy. This team’s going to make some real noise come January. They host the Texans this weekend in a huge AFC showdown.
2. Seattle Seahawks (8-2) – LOL are we really going to keep typing ‘Russell Wilson CAN’T keep making magic” and then looking dumb as hell when he does it? As long as he’s breathing, this Seahawks team has a chance to win a Super Bowl. They get a bye this week before traveling to Philadelphia on 11/24.
3. San Francisco 49ers (8-1) – That was a close loss, so it’s hard to knock the 49ers down too far, especially given how well they played. This should still be considered a legitimate Super Bowl contender. They should get back on the right track this weekend, hosting the Cardinals.
4. New England Patriots (8-1) – They had an off week, and while there are some serious concerns about this offense’s inability to run the football, this team isn’t going anywhere. They return to action, traveling to the Eagles this weekend.
5. Green Bay Packers (8-2) – A tough, close win in inclement weather against a good opponent puts the Packers back in the top five. They have a bye this week before traveling to San Francisco for a massive game on 11/24.
6. New Orleans Saints (7-2) – That was such an inexplicable loss to the Atlanta Falcons that it has me completely shook – is this the Super Bowl contender we thought it’d be?! The Saints have to get right at Tampa Bay this Sunday.
7. Minnesota Vikings (7-3) – Gotta love Kirk Cousins and Dalvin Cook putting their stamp on the NFC in Dallas on Sunday night. That defensive front is something else, too. They host the Broncos on Saturday, and should improve to 8-3.
8. Houston Texans (6-3) – The AFC is more competitive than people are realizing. The Texans are running the ball well and playing great offense behind their own MVP candidate in Deshaun Watson. Their three losses came at the hands of good teams for an average of five points per game. Time to take this team seriously. They travel to Baltimore for a huge game this weekend.
9. Kansas City Chiefs (6-4) – Sunday’s loss to the Titans was a rough one, and there’s reason to be concerned about that Chiefs defense. But, I still believe Patrick Mahomes, team speed, and creative play-calling from Andy Reid makes this a very dangerous team. They host the Chargers this week on Monday Night Football.
10. Dallas Cowboys (5-4) – This one’s a combination of me not giving up on the Cowboys just yet -AND- the rest of the teams in the hunt for this spot just looking a little lackluster. The Vikings laid the blueprint for how to beat the Cowboys, so Jason Garrett and company will have to figure out how to not let teams take away Ezekiel Elliott. But, there’s still a wealth of talent on offense there. The Cowboys go to Detroit to play the Lions this week.
CURRENT SUPER BOWL PREDICTION
Ravens over Seahawks– We keep talkin’ about whether Lamar Jackson or Russell Wilson is the MVP of the NFL, so hell – let’s get ’em on the field together! With the Ravens steamrolling opponents in cold weather come January, and Wilson never going away, this would be a fun match-up.
I’ll check back next week with a brand new edition of the NFL Power Rankings. LFG.
