I am definitely no expert when it comes to Christmas music since I do everything I can to avoid it every single holiday season. Now, I’m no Grinch or anything – I just don’t need to hear “Jingle Bells” or Mariah Carey on repeat from Thanksgiving to Christmas every year. There have even been occasions when I have found some retail stores playing Christmas music before Halloween. The evil people who have allowed the greatest holiday of the year to be disrespected like that deserve a strategically placed candy cane in a not-so-pleasant area.

Every year, it’s the same renditions of the same songs played over and over ad nauseam. This has led me to share with the world some great holiday songs that you may not be aware of. It seems just about every artist or band has at least one song, if not a whole album, dedicated to the season.

So, instead of pushing play on Andy Williams’ “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” and Wham!’s “Last Christmas,” do so on Scott Weiland’s and Carly Rae Jespen’s renditions respectively. Even Snoop Dogg, Onyx, and Eazy-E get into the festive spirit with original songs of their own.

All I want is for everyone to have the best holiday season that they possibly can and giving them the gift of new Christmas classics is my way of helping them accomplish that.
