Jerry Jeudy Wears a Jewish Star of David Necklace, but He’s Not Jewish

Ah, the insanity of the NFL Scouting Combine...Jerry Jeudy had quite the quote today, when he was explaining why he had a Jewish Star of David necklace.

The NFL Scouting Combine is upon us, which means, of course, a week of watching guys run around in their underwear, and the measuring of body parts (just measure their dicks…I know you NFL scouts want to…). Former Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Jerry Jeudy may be one of if not the best receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft class. Personally, I like Henry Ruggs III just a little bit more. Some people out there have CeeDee Lamb atop that board. It’s a good year to be looking for a wide receiver.

But, we’re not here to talk about actual football analysis today. Jerry Jeudy has been spotted wearing a diamond bedazzled Jewish Star of David necklace before….today, someone asked him about it…and we learned exactly why he has one, despite NOT being Jewish…

For those of you reading this at work, where you probably can’t play the video, that’s:

“My last name’s Jeudy. People sometimes call me ‘Jeu’ for short.”

“So, I just got a Jewish star….I’m not Jewish, though.”

Roll Tide, I guess?

I don’t know, guys. I don’t know how I feel about this one. Sure, when I was younger, I did stuff like this. I used to collect sports shirts. I’d go to Goodwills in the area and just try to find whatever random team’s shirt I could find. And, then I’d wear it out.

Inevitably, someone would call me on it….”Oh, man…you a big Kansas fan? That’s MY team!” Then, I would ruin a potential bonding moment with a potential new friend by saying, “nah, I just collect a bunch of sports shirts.

Eventually, I caught on….like damn, these people think I’m just a poser. I was repping a brand even if that wasn’t the intent. It’s not like people could read my mind, y’know?

That’s what this feels like…except we’re talking about religion. And, uh, I don’t know….this is just my two cents…but somebody might want to tell him that ‘Jeu’ probably isn’t the best nickname.
