Super Bowl 54 may have just wrapped up a few days ago, but we’re already on to the way-too-early Super Bowl 55 odds for 2020. After a thrilling run to the AFC Championship, the Tennessee Titans are sitting there at +3000 to win it all next year.

We haven’t seen a single free agent signing. The NFL Draft isn’t for another three months. We’re still about as fresh as fresh can get off the 2019 season closing. You saw a team beat the New England Patriots in Foxborough….upset the historically good Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore…lead by 10 TWICE against the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City before succumbing to Patrick Mahomes and the eventual Super Bowl champions.
So, to recap….nothing’s changed yet, and the Titans were in the NFL’s equivalent to the Final Four. But, they’re 13th in Super Bowl odds?
That’s crazy!
Maybe this is based in a belief that the Titans won’t be able to sign everyone – they have a laundry list of impending free agents, chief among them running back Derrick Henry, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, right tackle Jack Conklin, and cornerback Logan Ryan. And, sure – if the Titans lose ALL of those players, they’re not going to be the same team in 2020. But, I actually think they’re going to be able to keep a good chunk of their nucleus intact.
Plus, the leadership is still in place – GM Jon Robinson and HC Mike Vrabel aren’t going anywhere. This team has a foundation to build upon now. They keep adding pieces and they’re going to be good for a while. How are y’all gonna put the Steelers and Eagles ahead of this team right now? RIGHT NOW?
SMDH. Give me that +3000.
