It’s been a rough past few days for the citizens of Nashville and surrounding areas as we pick ourselves up from the tragic events of early Tuesday morning. The First Museum has an exhibit detailing the flood of 2010 and one has to believe in ten years there will be one of the tornado that ripped through middle Tennessee. Music City will rebuild and rebound stronger than ever.
It’s the nonstop sound of live music that acts as the pulse of the city and not even mother nature can get Nashville’s heart to skip a beat. Nashville is one of the most sung about cities throughout the history of recorded music. Countless artist including Tim McGraw, Liz Phair, Ben Rector, Hank Williams Jr. and Joan Baez have all sang about our fair city.
Here’s a collection of songs that feature Nashville and others that are all about our great city.
