Welcome back to the NFL Power Rankings on SoBros Network, which I’m still using to hopefully cash in on the SoBros Network being approved by Google News. My process is simple – I’m just looking at wins, losses, and the eye test to determine my top 10 teams in the league as we head into Week 7 of the 2020 season.
NFL POWER RANKINGS: WEEK 8 2020
1. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-0) – Well, they’re the last remaining undefeated team in the league, and they certainly look like the most complete one to boot. This Steelers team sure looks like it’s going to be hard to beat when they’re playing as well as they were in the first half against the Titans. They have another big game this weekend, traveling to Baltimore to play the Ravens.
2. Seattle Seahawks (5-1) – Well, they got got by another high powered offense, but I still think this is the best team in the NFC with the MVP favorite at quarterback. It’s going to continue being an exciting team to watch – one that gets a chance to rebound this week against the 49ers in Seattle.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (6-1) – That Raiders loss is behind ’em now, and looks even more odd in retrospect. This is a complete team that seems to be settling in for a hell of a run in the AFC. Pray for the Jets this week, as they travel to Kansas City to be fed to the Chiefs.
4. Green Bay Packers (5-1) – The Packers got back to their winning ways on Sunday after dominating the Houston Texans. Aaron Rodgers threw four touchdown passes, and Davante Adams posted a whopping 196 receiving yards, to remind us that they aren’t going away any time soon. They host the Minnesota Vikings this weekend.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) – Back-to-back 25+ point wins over quality opponents has the Bucs soaring up the power rankings. Tom Brady is really starting to heat up in this offense, and they’re starting to look more and more like the legit Super Bowl contender we thought they’d be. They ought to absolutely roll the New York Giants on Monday Night Football this week.
6. Tennessee Titans (5-1) – They’re going to tumble a bit after their first loss of the season, but it really was a tale of two halves. In the first half of the Steelers game, we’re talking about a team that would’ve been in the bottom third of the league. In the second half, that could very well be the best team in the league. The truth lies somewhere in the middle, but I still think this is a very good football team. They’ll get the chance to get right on defense this week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
7. Baltimore Ravens (5-1) – The Ravens had a week off to get rested up and ready to play the Steelers this week. This one figures to be a critical game in the AFC North race.
8. Los Angeles Rams (5-2) – The Rams got a little bit of help by virtue of Chicago’s offense being absolutely putrid. But, give ’em credit for finally getting a win over a team that doesn’t play in the NFC East. These Rams should be treated as legitimate contenders in the NFC. They travel to Miami for what could be a sneaky good game against the Dolphins.
9. Arizona Cardinals (5-2) – Man, does this Cardinals offense have some GAS. In a shootout, Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins can flat out get it done. The Cardinals have emerged as one of the most fun teams to watch because of it. That win over the Seahawks was YUGE. They head into their bye at a surprising 5-2.
10. Cleveland Browns (5-2) – This spot came down to the Browns or the Bills, and I certainly think the Browns would win that one on a neutral field. I’m beginning to think I was right when I said “the 2020 Browns could be what we thought the 2019 Browns would be.” I don’t know if you trust this squad to win the big one against the AFC’s elite just yet, but they’re damn competitive. They host the Raiders this week in a game that figures to have wild card implications.

CURRENT SUPER BOWL PREDICTION
As it stands after Week 7, I’m going with Steelers over Buccaneers. If the Steelers have a concerning weakness right now, they haven’t shown it. Meanwhile, the Bucs are absolutely heating up in the NFC. They have the balance to beat the Green Bays and Seattles of the conference.
